Condolences
Gordon and Helen Wells were a frequent presence in my younger life as they were family friends of my parents Earl and Dorothy Lomas. I especially remember happy, and challenging, outdoor adventures including hiking the Chilkoot Trail and the Skyline Trail in Jasper among others. Their cabin at Edith Lake was a warm and welcoming place, and they were good enough to host my parent's 40th wedding anniversary there. Gordon was always positive and supportive, and I certainly liked him. My condolences to the family and especially Peter who I see ocasionally in Calgary.
I have many happy memories of working and sharing life experiences of Gordie Wells, as I knew him at Imperial Oil where we both worked as geologists. I will always remember him as a good guy.
I wish to give my condolences to his family on the loss of what I am sure was an important part of their lives.
I am now living in a retirement residence, but am not driving and may be unable to attend the celebration of his life. Please rest assured that I will be thinking of Gordie and his family.
