Obituary of Laura Ann HELFERTY

Laura Helferty of Calgary, AB, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at the age of 34 years.

Laura volunteered at a nursing home, helping the residents get to their doctors’ appointments and with their shopping. Laura’s proudest moment was when she became a mother to her two sons, Damien and Shea. She had a creative mind and loved to draw. She was passionate about the outdoors and enjoyed skiing, snowboarding, skating, biking, rafting, and mountain climbing. Her most memorable vacation was going to Disney Land when she was ten years old. Laura will always be remembering for her kind heart and love of nature.

Laura is survived by her sons, Damien and Shea Winters; parents, Karen Loughran and Robert Helferty; stepbrother Andrew Helferty, aunts, Heather, Cheryl, Donna and Lois; uncle Gregory, cousins, Codi, Andrea, Steven and Marley; and her beloved dog Buster.
