Obituary of Myrna HIGGS

June 30, 1942 – Vancouver, British Columbia
February 18, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

Myrna Higgs of Calgary, AB, passed away with her family by her side on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at the age of 77 years after a long battle with breast cancer. 

Myrna was born in Vancouver, BC on June 30, 1942. In her youth, Myrna was very actively involved with the Kiwanis Club and enjoyed teaching swimming lessons and lifeguarding. In her twenties, Myrna graduated from the University of British Columbia with a degree in Agriculture. Over the years, Myrna owned and operated many businesses, but she found the most enjoyment from real estate and helping people find their dream homes. As her grandchildren have grown, she has enjoyed watching all four boys engaging in a variety of sports and fun community events. 

Myrna is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Amanda Paulson of Calgary, AB; daughter and son-in-law Janice and Darren Hines of Calgary AB; and her four grandchildren Alex, Eric, Nolan and Aiden. She was predeceased by her parents Elsie and Frank Wolokoff.
