Condolences
Dear Ann, Mark and Julie:
Please accept my sincerest sympathies on the passing of your kind and caring Mom. How lucky I was to get to know your family through my childhood friendship with Ann. Of many wonderful memories, two stand out immediately. First, your mother made the world's best Chocolate Cookies - they would have won any baking show I can think of! And second, one day a thunder and lightning storm was upon us in the afternoon and we would have to walk the 4 or 5 blocks from our elementary school to home in a downpour. We got almost half way along our journey and there in the pouring rain was your mom (I think she had Julie in tow in the stroller), walking towards us. She was soaked through and was on her way to the school because she thought that Ann might be afraid of the lightening and thunder and so wanted to accompany her home. Even then as a small child, I remember thinking how lucky you were Ann, to have such a wonderful mother. There is a special place in heaven... Thank you all for sharing her with me!
Kind regards,
Della Robertson (nee Kelly).
Dear Ann, Mark Julie and Families,
My heart is with you all during this sad time. Aunty Marty, my mothers sister and best friend. Marty was one of a kind, as one of her irishisms would describe, the mold was broke, after god made that person. Marty had a sorta an aura around her, you wanted to be around her. Her kindness and gentleness was beautiful. I will miss writing her letters and receiving her letters, she wrote what she was thinking, and always from the heart.
Rest in peace Marty
Love
Claire
