Obituary of Norma Louise HOMER

Norma Louise Homer, age 84, of Calgary, Alberta, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 surrounded by her family.
Norma was born on May 5, 1935 to Norman and Alice (Dickie) Bowron in Victoria, BC. She is preceded in death by her parents and her only sibling, brother David Bowron.
Norma was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her five children: Barbara Wallins, Christine Latouche, Catherine Denys, Brent Homer, and Brian Homer; thirteen grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren.
She was a vibrant and passionate woman who loved life. She had strength and determination that gave her the courage to embark on a new career at the age of 48, enrolling in the Licenced Practical Nurse program. This strength and determination served her well during the 20 years she cared for others at the Foothills Hospital. It is worth mentioning that Norma was cared for at the end of her life by people with whom she had worked alongside during her career.
Norma’s fun-loving and vivacious energy will be missed by all.
