Obituary of Aldovino RAPINI

October 18, 1938 – Campli, Teramo, Italy

February 18, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

Aldovino Rapini, beloved husband of Giuseppina Rapini of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at the age of 81 years.

Aldo was born in Campli, Teramo, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1962. He was a home builder and master carpenter who approached each day with a Passion for life, kindness, an unmatched work ethic. Aldo also enjoyed his garden and wine making, but his real joy and passion was his family. Family gatherings and watching his grandkids, and great-grandkids, compete at their respective sports brought a proud smile to his face. Aldo had Calgary Stampeders season tickets for over fifty years and was an avid fan of the University of Calgary football program; he was a fixture on the sidelines for every game over the past fourteen years and will be missed by his football family.

Aldo will be most remembered for his kindness, passion for life, and his smile. He was particularly proud of his family: wife, kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids.

Aldo is survived by his loving wife, Giuseppina Rapini; son Marcello Rapini; daughter Sandra Chiarastella (Ray); sister Evelina Pieramnuzio; five grandchildren, Lyza McLean(Scott), Olivia Chiarastella(Mo), Lorenzo Chiarastella, Aldovino Rapini, Juliet Rapini; and two great-grandchildren, Jayce McLean and Stella McLean.

Aldo was predeceased by his parents, Sandarella and Guilio Rapini; and his siblings, Ambrogio Rapini, and Carmella Rocini.
