Obituary of Connie (nee Cantafio) Santina PELLAN

February 11, 1943 – February 19, 2020

Connie Pellan of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at the age of 77 years.

Connie was born in Amato, Calabria, Italy and immigrated to Winnipeg, MB with her family in 1955. Connie worked in the grocery department at Eaton’s where she met the love of her life, Peter (Wayne) Pellan. He would show up at her cash register daily until she finally said yes to a date. After a three month typical old-fashioned Italian courtship, they were married in 1961. The family moved to Saskatoon in 1965 and Calgary in 1972. In Calgary, Connie worked at Eaton’s for many years, followed by Sears and the Bay. She was a member of the Kinette and K’Ette Clubs in both Saskatoon and Calgary serving community needs.

Connie will be remembered for her sense of humour, smile and bubbly personality. She was the life of the party. She was dedicated to family, loving, loyal and known for her delicious cooking and wonderful hospitality. She will be missed by everyone that was blessed to have met her.

Connie is survived by her children, Maria Pozzi (Paul), Peter (Amy) and Joseph (Vicki); grandchildren, Christina Morton (Paul), Carissa Pozzi ( Hilary); great-grandchildren, Kenzie and Kallan Morton; her sisters, Carol Pasta and Vincy Lovallo (Rick); as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Wayne, on June 13, 1987. She was blessed to join Wayne in Heaven on his birthday. She was also predeceased by her parents Giuseppe and Maria Cantafio and brother in-law Sam Pasta.
