Condolences
Our most sincere sympathy to Valerie and extended family. Gary was a gentleman, a great manager and a good friend. When I worked with him at Watertown and Jumping Pound, he a very good communicator and mentor. He livened up most meetings. Gary had the most identifiable and most contagious laugh that I ‘m sure everyone will remember. I do. Gary was taken much too young. God bless you Gary. Our condolences - Ron and Natalie Bachmeier
Sorry to hear about Gary. I remember Gary when he first showed up at Jumping Pound. A young engineer with a fantastic laugh. He drove his little Honda wearing a great big fur coat; he looked like a teddy bear going down the road. As well, when he came back to JP as manager, every morning he would whirl through the lab and always correct my whiteboard spelling mistakes (somedays I had an intentional misteak just to get him going).
Sincere condolences to the Vassie family. Gwen and I are traveling now, so my memories of Gary can only be partially shared from on the road. As one of the ‘founders group’ of North West Upgrading/Refining, Gary lent his considerable leadership skills at a critical time in the advancement of Alberta’s most advanced refinery. He will always be remembered and missed by his friends from North West.
