I met Yvonne at the Eagles Club and she was always dressed impeccably and such a lady. I loved her sense of fun and will miss her vivaciousness. Thinking and sending prayers for the family. Regards Debbie Ironside
Dear Stacey, John and family,
It was a very sad day when we learned of Yvonne's passing. Memories are special treasures to be cherished and held close in our hearts. Time will pass but the memories of Yvonne will stay and will remind you of happier days and the many wonderful years you spent with one another.
May you find peace in knowing that she is in a better place and that you are not alone in your sadness.
Our warmest thoughts and deepest sympathy are with you.

"Auntie Von" was a very caring and loving aunt. She genuinely cared about people and family and always contributed to helping young people as they navigate through life. When I was in my teens I moved away from Manitoba and the north to the big city of Calgary. It was Uncle Lorne and Auntie Von that took me in and helped find me a job and initiated me into life 101. Auntie Von was a secretary at an oil company and mentored me into working at a law firm in a secretarial role that helped me get a start in life. I was very grateful for this caring and kindness. I know I was not the only one that they had taken in and helped in this way as they started out in life.
I remember my aunt to be gregarious, joyful and always willing to participate in fun. She had lived a full life, enduring and overcoming much. She was loved by many people and she will be missed. I know she is not alone, but will be with my Uncle Lorne and Doug; together, in peace.
I am sad I am unable to come to Calgary and be with my family and meet those that have been a significant part in my aunt’s life. I send my love and prayers to Stacy, John and children, and the rest of my family and friends that have been touched by my aunt and her formidable love and kindness.

Both my mother and I (at different times in our working lives), had the opportunity of working with Yvonne. It's been many years now, but I remember Yvonne's kindess to me. I was so young at the time and I'll never forget Yvonne's warmth, kindness and sense of humour. I appreciated her kindness to me more than I can say. I know my mother felt the same way about her. My heartfelt condolences are with her dear family at this difficult time.
