Condolences
British Constable1854 John Edward CRESSWELL joined the British Palestine Police 23 March 1945 and served with the Police Mobile Force (PMF) until 11 March 1948. RIP. British Palestine Police Association.
John Creswell was not known to me until I met him at a remembrance day ceremony at Watergrove community park club house. John was one of the guess speakers along with Don Etthel and an MP. John commanded the march in and out, bagpipes, n all. During this prep time and afterwards during the social I was able to talk with him. He was a matter of fact , no fooling around man. He required the attention to detail remenicent of his positions during service. I was drawn to him as he reminded me of my father a company Sgt major with the RCDs. He appreciated my attention to his directions. His service was extraordinary and is memorable. We will remember him. Lest we forget. Salute RIP VP
I only knew John for a short time but he provided an outstanding example of how to approach later life. He walked daily in all weather, he was engaged in public issues and he lived his life with great energy and enthusiasm.
May God bless you John and happy journeys in new pastures.

John Cresswell will be missed by many of his friends from his Military life and the residents of Watergrove Mobile Home Park, thank you to Management & staff at Watergrove, Shelby loved him and will miss him.
He was consumed with his physical fitness, and walked 2/3 time a day.
The Staff at the Care West Cornel Belcher also became good friends, attending to all his needs!
Once he recovered from a broken hip, he retuned to the Bridge tables weekly to play with the club he had been with for 12 + years. His escape from the Belcher!
RIP John, I will miss you!!!
