Obituary of Simeone RAMICONE

March 3, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Simeone Ramicone of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at the age of 85 years.

Simeone was born in Rivisondoli, Italy and with his wife Olga and two young sons, immigrated to Calgary in 1962 where he was employed as a Maitre’d. He worked at the Calgary Petroleum Club for many years until striking out on his own to open a restaurant.

Over the years, Simeone loved being in the company of his family and friends. From reunions every summer at Gull Lake to Sunday picnics at Bowness Park playing Bocci, he enjoyed it all.

Simeone is survived by his loving wife of sixty-four years, Olga (nee DeCapite); sons, David (Dorothy) and Robert; grandson Michael (Gessica), great-grandson Gabriel; step-grandson Jay Marasco; as well as other relatives and acquaintances in Canada and abroad.

He was predeceased by his parents, Davide and Concetta; sister Tecla; brothers, Osberno, Francesco and Alfredo; and his beloved daughter-in-law, Anne Ramicone.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church (640 – 19 Avenue N.W., Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery (St. Joseph Section, 3219 4 Street N.W., Calgary, AB).
