Obituary of Olive (nee Bishop) LOWDEN

April 24, 1932 – Maccan, Nova Scotia
March 3, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with sadness that we share the news of the passing of Olive Lowden on Tuesday March 3, 2020 at the age of 87 years.

Olive married young to the love of her life, and travelled the country wherever Eric’s military postings took them. She loved raising her family. Entertaining family and friends, sewing clothes for her grandchildren and taking them to Disneyland were just a few of the many memories her family carries of her.

When the family finally settled in Edmonton, Olive went to work for the RCMP. She was an integral part in the office of the K Division Commercial Crime Section.When retirement arrived, Olive and Eric moved to Salmon Arm, B.C., but the call of family brought them to Calgary. Olive eventually resided in Age Care in Midnapore where she passed away peacefully in her sleep.

Olive was predeceased by her husband Eric Lowden. She is survived by her daughter Susan (Bill Sturgeon), and son Murray (Kathy). She will be dearly missed by her four grandchildren, Stephanie (Wayne), Heather (Ryan), Tyler, and Erin; and six great-grandchildren, Nora, Elena, Ava, Isla, Hailey, and Henry.
