Obituary of Danielle Simone KLAPWIJK

March 18, 1984 – March 5, 2020

Danielle went to be with her Lord on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at the age of 35 years.

Danielle had a wonderful childhood and her best moments were spent with her dad (father/daughter equestrian team).  They rode together through parks having an amazing time.  Danielle also participated in show jumping events, including Spruce Meadows.

As an adult Danielle became known as a “WestJetter”, her crowning achievement being actively involved with the WestJet Relief Mission to Haiti following the earthquake of 2010.

In recent years, Danielle battled serious mental health issues.  We are thankful for her mental health team, helping her deal with the devastation that depression brings.

She is survived by her parents, Gerard and Bridget Klapwijk; brother Michael; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at Covenant Christian Reformed Church (50 Millrise Blvd. SW, Calgary, AB) on Saturday March 14, 2020 at 2:30pm. Light reception to follow at the church.
