Condolences
APEGA, the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta, was saddened to hear of the passing of David Irving, President of our association from 1989-1990. We are grateful for the many years of service that Dave dedicated to the professions before and after his many years of service on Council. Many of our Boards and Committees benefited from the knowledge and experience that Dave brought to the table. And in 1999 Dave was given APEGA's highest honor, the LC Charlesworth Professional Service Award for diligent service to the professions and the association. We are thankful for Dave's many contributions and we send our heartfelt condolences to the entire family.
Just thinking of my cousin Margaret and the girls and there families.

Dave was such an upstanding guy. He always had a friendly wave or a kind word when I saw him out puttering in his yard. He was one of my father's best friends. They had both gone to UNB and ended up living next door to each other for many years. You couldn't ask for a better friend and neighbour. My deepest condolences to his family.
Margaret, Kimberley & Kelsey,
Our deepest condolences to you on the lose of David. He was such a kind man who had a great sense of humor and was so understanding.
Margaret - you and Dave really complimented each other well. Even though we live on the other side of the country, we will miss him. When you all came to PEI, all The Irvings so looked forward to having you all with us and spending time together, And your hospitality in Calgary was always second to none. We will still be visiting with you but Dave's absence will be felt.
With our love to you all, Brenda Ann & Larry

Rotary has lost a fine example of a man who personified "Service Above Self", He always had a smile and it was always such a pleasure to chat with him. We are certainly left with warm memories. My sincere sympathy to your family and hopefully the day will come when the pain of losing him will be outweighed by the memories of good times shared. Regards, Dale Perret
