Condolences
Ruby was an absolute doll and I adored her. Her sense of humour was always welcome! We enjoyed many good times working at Fall Fair and Rodeo! Loved her many visits at The News Leader and the many times she dropped in for coffee at my mom's. She is very much missed. I was blessed to have known Ruby and will cherish my many wonderful memories of her. She can now join John and they can ride the range together on the other side. ❤
I remember helping out ruby with haying on the ranch she always offered a cold drink. Once while I side she shouted us books of the things she had taken note of the day and the weather it was dated way back. I found it very cool and you could look back 20 years ago and know what the weather was like that day. My sincerest condolences to the whole family.
Grandma was one heck of a woman. She raised me to be strong, independent and not scared of nothin' well at least when it comes to anything to do with a farm or brothers and boy cousins. She may not have been the type of grandma to have fresh baked cookies every time we showed up but she did have a full pot of coffee until 9 pm and chickens to feed. I wouldn't change that for the world.
I feel at peace knowing you and Grandpa are together again watchin' the dogs run.
See ya when I see ya
On my first visit to the ranch Ruby and I drove up to the Pasayten in her Burgundy pick up. Driving along the bumpy dirt road smoking her ciggy...Ruby felt like home. In my early teens I would drive to the cabin with my mother in a pick up truck on an bumpy dirt road and she would be smoking her ciggy. It was a strange familiar feeling. Many many memories with the Bey/Willis families and their large friend group. And that was before social media. Ha. Ruby is a gem and was perfectly named.
See you on the other side Ruby! Love Nancy. And as far as COVID 19. I think Ruby would say go have a nap....this too shall pass.
