Obituary of Sheila Mae GROGAN

Sheila Mae Grogan of Calgary, AB, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at the age of 85 years.

Sheila was born in Calgary, AB, to Duncan Ferguson Macalister and Catharine Chrystal on November 2, 1934. She spent most of her childhood in Edmonton, AB, and attended the University of Alberta, earning a BSc in Nursing in 1956. She worked as a nurse while raising her family. Throughout her life Sheila was actively involved in the community, perhaps most notably as a member of the Presbyterian Church for over sixty years. Sheila was a lifelong learner. She loved people, travel, and creating beauty in her quilts and garden.  She loved to curl up with a good book or a tough crossword. Sheila had a wonderful laugh, a deep faith in God and a generous spirit.
 
Sheila will be missed by her loving husband,  Kenneth Crawford Grogan; daughters and sons-in-law, Cathie and Dean Komant, Maureen and Garth  Misura; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Heidi Grogan, Patrick and Julia  Grogan; and grandchildren Lukas, Logan and Rayel Komant, Aidan and Abby Grogan, Mackenzie, Claire and Owen Misura, and Kade, Erin and Meg Grogan.

A Private Family Graveside Service will be held at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens.  A Memorial Service celebrating Sheila’s life will be held in the spring of 2020. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed on Sheila’s obituary at www.McInnisandHolloway.com.
