Condolences
This still seems so unbelievably unreal! All the memories I have being over at the Proulx’s. From Linda taking care of us kids, specially when that rotten Craig was chasing us older boys around the house(ha ha), when Linda was in the prime of her life, so fit, engulfed in fitness, only to be diagnosed with lupus. Then us kids kept growing up, and the Proulx’s moved to the crazy city! Was a lot of time between get togethers, but I can tell you this, when we did, the infectious laugh of Linda’s was so warming and exactly the same I remember from when I was a kid.
So sorry for the loss, and till we meet again Linda.
Linda was a matriarch in the truest sense – a strong, determined, hard working woman, who loved her family and “lived to tease”.
Family was her main source of pride and happiness, but she also found great enjoyment in digging in the dirt, drinking her tea (or rum), eating the sweets she baked, and playing cards. We will miss the good times we enjoyed together, but mostly we will miss her laughter.
She leaves a big space in our lives, but will be in our hearts forever.
Ray, Chris, Michelle, Kaiya, Riley, Craig, Grady, we share your loss and wish you comfort.
We met Linda over 40 years ago when Ray and Linda moved out west to Alberta.
They fit in like a glove with the Anderson family. We have so many precious memories……..
~time spent at our cabin at Water Valley,
~ sing songs around the campfire,
~ many card games,
~the best belly laughs
~ringing in the new year together.
~special times at Windermere Lake
~Linda’s delicious blueberry cheesecake.
~ always great conversations and jokes
When they moved from Strathmore to Lake Bonavista in Calgary,
~many summer days were spent at the lake;
~countless bonfires in their backyard.
Linda loved it there and was so happy in their Calgary home. She loved her family more than life itself and was over the moon when Kaiya, Riley and Grady arrived. Chris and Craig were her pride and joy and Michelle became like the daughter Linda never had. Come spring and summer, Linda would be in her glory digging in her garden, planting flowers, pruning and watering them daily. She was very social, kind hearted and loved to laugh.
It was devastating beyond words when Linda was diagnosed with cancer however she always held on to the hope that she would beat it but unfortunately God had other plans. Sadly Linda left us far too soon. We lost a very dear friend who made the world a better place. We will miss her laughter, the joy she brought to others and her presence in our lives.
Our love & heartfelt condolences to Ray, Chris, Michelle, Craig, Kaiya, Riley, Grady, Linda’s sisters, Lana and Colleen and Linda’s brother Gary. Wishing you peace to bring comfort, courage to face the days ahead and loving memories to forever hold in your hearts. Linda will always hold a special place within all of us. RIP dear Linda.
I am so incredibly sorry for your loss of this most wonderful, warm, caring, giving and loving wife, mother, grandmother, friend, cousin. Her beautiful smile will always live in my memories. My deepest sympathies. Your cousin Louise & family
Was so very sad to hear this news. Linda and Ray always welcomed kaiya’s friend Chloe into their loving house. Our thoughts are with you all at this sad time. Love The Plowman’s (Aberdeen, Scotland ) xxx
