Condolences
Dear Barbara and Family: I first met Pastor Ron when he asked me to serve on the Home Communion program which he was starting at Hope Lutheran Church, Calgary in 1997. This service continued for some 20 year and was much appreciated by the home bound members of the congregation. Pastor Ron always had encouraging words and a chuckle to share.
Rest In Peace with Jesus and your Lord!

Pastor Ron was always willing to chat with Joan and I at conventions, synodical gatherings, conference get togethers or just being sociable and kind. He and Barb always made one feel welcome. I especially enjoyed getting him going on the topic of cars. We could talk at length about 4 barrel carbs, low restriction mufflers and over head valves. May your roads ahead in the joy of your inheritance with all the Saints in Light include heavenly roads without potholes.
Pastor Ron was such a strong and supportive presence at Hope. He was always warm and welcoming. I will miss his wisdom and sense of humour.
God's peace to Barb and Family

Dear Barb and family,
We are sad to hear of Ron's recent passing. We have such warm memories of getting to know you, Barb, and Ron when you lived in our basement in Saskatoon while Ron and I were attending seminary. Elaine and I continue to live in Cochrane (since 2000). We are both retired. Our four children are all married, and we now have eight grandchildren. The Lord be with you with his comfort at this time.
Love,
Paul and Elaine
I am so sorry to hear of Pastor Ron's passing. Although it has been many years since I last saw Ron and Barbara, I have happy memories of the summer of 1971 when I was a Lutheran Youth Volunteer for two weeks at the church in Agincourt along with my team mate Diana. This culminated with a drive in the converted school bus camper to Ohio for our next posting. It was all a lot of fun - first trip to Toronto, and to the USA. It was a fun family to connect with, and you were so caring and generous to the two 19 year old girls from Saskatchewan.
I am now a retired teacher living in Calgary with my husband of 39 years. We have two wonderful daughters in their 30's.
We attend Lutheran Church of the Cross.
My condolences to all of you.
Sincerely,
Janis Ogilvie (nee Clark)
Dear Barbara and Family. You are in my thoughts and prayers as you grieve Ron's death and celebrate his life. May the sure and certain hope of the resurrection through our Lord Jesus Christ sustain and encourage you in the difficult days ahead. Easter will have a much deeper meaning for you this year.
