Condolences
My sincere condolences to Bill's family. I had the greatest pleasure over 20 years of sharing hikes with Bill through my nature hiking business. The other participants benefited greatly form his knowledge, curiosity and humour. I greatly appreciated the fine photographs he gave me of one of our hiking trips as well as the Christmas cards he sent my way. He was a gentleman through and through.

I was sad to hear that Bill had passed away and send my condolences to the family. I knew Bill from working at Mobil Oil. Occasionally Bill, Marv, Mandy and I would go for lunch. Bill was always a gentleman. He was quietly spoken, had a good sense of humour and was well liked. May he rest in peace.

Bill Monro was my neighbor in Rosedale for many years. He was the best neighbor as he was always private but could be relied on to pick up the mail while on vacation, shovel the snowy walks and provide wise advice on home maintenance. I knew that Bill liked the outdoors and also taking photographs. While I was away from my home, my neighbors on the other side had a large tree removed by professionals who dropped the tree on the roof of my garage and took out all my telephone lines. How to make a case with the insurance company? Bill handed me a stack of photographs he had taken showing the workmen and the tree coming down on my roof. To this day I have no idea why Bill was even taking the photographs but I sure never forgot his kindness and assistance. He truly was a wonderful neighbor and human being who will not be forgotten.
