"Cos" as we called her, Dawn, and Sheila used to chat and stop by one anothers' condo units before and after church services...always checking up on one another.

Cosma taught me at St. Charles School; however, we crossed paths many times over the years especially just prior to her moving to Toronto when she would attend Mass at Corpus Christi Church. She had a deep commitment to her Catholic faith, to Catholic Education, and to her students with whom she shared that faith. She was also deeply committed to family and friends. An incredible person. My sympathy and prayers Terri, Mel, and Aaron. May she Rest in Peace.

Although your mother Cosma and my mother Jean lived continents apart, their love for each was very close. I was a student of Cosma's at St. Charles school in Calgary. I first enrolled there mid-way through the year and was terrified by her strictness and very high expectations. But by the end of that year I was in love with her! Fortunately I had her as my teacher for another year or two. My memories of that time are among the happiest of my life. I recall our choirs and loved the songs we learned which often carried a heartwarming message that brought me to tears.

Cosma's faith spilled over into our lives and I still feel the impact of that to this day. She and I kept in touch over the years and I was always delighted to hear from her. She introduced me to the Sisters of Charity of St. Louis and I spent a year in their novitiate.

Cosma's influence impacted many lives. I am so grateful I was one of them.

Terri, and family, I am saddened to hear of your loss. I hope you are able to nurture yourself, while dealing with your grief, and can take solace in the joys you shared with Cosma, over the years.

My condolences to Cosma's family. I had the privilege of teaching with her at St, Joseph Jr,High school in 1969-70. It was my first year teaching and Cosma make a deep impression on me. Though short in stature, she commanded the respect of her students, especially the Italian boys in her grade 9 language arts course.
