Obituary of Michael Thomas GALLEY

July 21, 1933 – Montreal, Quebec April 15, 2018 – Calgary, Alberta Mike Galley of Calgary, passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at the age of 84 years. Mike was born and raised in Montreal (Griffin Town). He met Dot in Montreal and they were married there in 1959. They moved to Two Mountains, QC where they raised their three sons and Mike served as a Volunteer Fire Fighter. Mike and Dot moved to Calgary in 1979 where he enjoyed a successful career with Royal Insurance. Mike was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. In his later years, Mike enjoyed spending time with family, travelling and watching the Blue Jays. Mike is survived by three sons; Rick and Sheila, Bruce, Jim and Vicki; grandchildren, Jodi, Shannon (Rafel) and Jason; great-grandchildren, Eaden and Gabrion; two brothers and two sisters, Harold, Noreen, Jim (Shirley) and Catherine (Kevin), as well as several nieces and nephews. Mike was predeceased by his wife Dot in 2014, his parents Mary and Bill and a brother Bill. A Celebration of Mike’s Life will be held at The Cattle Baron Alberta Steakhouse and Bar () on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
