Obituary of Eugenia Ramirez GULFO

Eugenia Gulfo, beloved wife of Dante Mercado of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2020, at the age of 54 years.

Eugenia was born in Lumbangan, Philippines on September 6, 1965. She moved to Calgary, Alberta, Canada in 1992, with Dante whom she married on January 10, 1990.

Eugenia accomplished much through her life and was particularly proud of her family, career and friends. Eugenia enjoyed going out to dinner with her family and, in her spare time, she loved reading.

Eugenia’s most memorable vacation was when she went back to the Philippines to see her family in 2017. She will be most remembered for her smile, laughter and always cheering the loudest at her sons' basketball games.

Besides her loving husband, Eugenia is survived by her two sons, Chris and Paul; her daughter-in-law Kim in Calgary, AB, her four sisters, Pacing, Ludy, Gigi, and Fely; and her two brothers, Cesar and Rene.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Luke’s Catholic Church (Corner of Northmount Drive & Northland Drive N.W., Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, April 15, 2020, for immediate family only.
