Condolences
I had only known Scotty (Grumpy Cronie) for about 13 or 14 years, but grew quite close over the last several years. About a half a dozen years ago he started our group called the Cronies, including Scotty, Darrell Galenzoski, Ken Cowie and myself (Cronie: A member of a group of friends or associates, usually loosely organized, brought together by common circumstances or activities. Members are often prone to a mischievous group mentality.)
I will keep this short as no one enjoys a long read these days. The 4 of us would get together whenever we could over the more recent years past. We had occasion to take many road trips and a few vacations together. With Darrell's recent travels and Ken's workload, Scotty and I spent a lot of time together. He really loved exploring new places to eat lunch and have a beer. We enjoyed so many of those outings in the last few years.
Anyone who new the Cronies, knew that Scotty and I would have the occasional heated arguement as we are/were both quite opinionated. No matter what though, we would always get around to saying or texting, lol "I still love ya man!"
I was lucky to take two vacations in Mexico with him in the last year or so. Puerto Vallarta was his favorite spot and he recently had a trip planned there, by himself, to explore the opportunities for relocating for future retirement. Unfortunately that trip was put on hold because of the current COVID crisis.
So many more things to say....
"You were taken from us far to soon and will be sadly missed by many....rest in peace my good friend and may your spirit wander the warm sands of La Palmas by the Sea for eternity...."
To the Daniel family,,my sincere condolences.
I knew Scott for many years and he truly loved aviation.
