Obituary of Glenys ZASTAWNY

November 26, 1939 – Viscount, Saskatchewan
April 19, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

Glenys Zastawny of Calgary, AB, passed away on April 19, 2020 at the age of 80 years.

Glenys was born in Viscount, SK on November 26, 1939 and lived much of her childhood in Elfros, SK. As a young woman she moved to Regina, SK and then lived the rest of her life in Calgary, AB. Glenys married Harry Nicholas Zastawny in 1958 who passed away in 1987. 

Glenys raised three children and worked for many years at the Wicker Town wicker/rattan store.  Glenys loved decorating and décor and was very proud of making her home look its best.  Glenys loved to travel to Las Vegas for holidays and enjoyed bingo and slot machines.  She loved to go for walks and do all sorts of crafts, but mostly enjoyed spending quality time with her friends and family, having fun and joking around.

Glenys is survived by her daughter Debbie and son-in-law John Dekker of Calgary, AB, her  son Darren Zastawny and daughter-in-law Shelly of Calgary, AB, and her son Dan Zastawny and daughter-in-law Heather of Okotoks, AB; and two grandchildren, Amanda Bullick of Vancouver, BC and Aaron Bullick of Victoria, BC. Glenys is also survived by her brother Clarence Isaacson and sister-in-law Shirley Isaacson of Claresholm, AB, her sister Lois Keddie of Winnipeg, MB, and her sister Sandra Rourke of Colonsay, SK; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

Glenys was predeceased by her husband Harry Zastawny and her parents, Ellen and Carl Isaacson of Elfros, SK.
