Carmen PAVLOVIC (nee Blank)

Obituary of Carmen PAVLOVIC (nee Blank)

Carmen was born January 20, 1934 to Guillermo & Felicia Blank in La Victoria, Venezuela.

While growing up she loved the markets, outdoor plazas, the vibrancy of the city and the beautiful beaches. One of her favorite places to visit was Isla Margarita.

Carmen and her husband Elija Pavlovic would later raise three children; Nereyda, Ivan and Guillermo.

The family immigrated to Canada in 1973 because of Venezuela's decline and settled in the Wildwood/Rosscarrock area. Carmen worked in downtown Calgary for a number of years as a chef's assistant.

Carmen attended St. Michael's Catholic Church loyally and faithfully for many years and remained devout in her Roman Catholic faith.

As she reached her senior years, her health suffered terribly with rheumatoid arthritis.

Even with her pain, she rarely complained. Carmen remained as strong as possible until her last day.

She is survived by her children Nereyda Holland, Ivan Pavlovic, Will Guillermo Pavlovic (Jill Purdy).

Grandchildren; Maria Christina Berini (Zachary), Danielle Holland (Mike), Zachary Pavlovic, Tyler Pavlovic. Her Great Grandchildren; Kaylee Harrison and Jacob Holland-Osborne; and Nephew Nelson Rodriguez Blank. She was predeceased by her Sister Elena Rodriguez Blank and loving Husbands Elija Pavlovic & Jose Delgado.

Carmen will be remebered for many things including her love of music, dance, wonderful cooking and great sense of humor; always making people laugh with her jokes. She was a very loving, caring and generous women. Who did everything and anything she could for everyone.

Her many sacrifices will never be forgotten. She will be forever in our hearts. She was truly one of a kind.
