Obituary of Ivan BAHARALLY

Ivan (Dick/Dickie) Baharally passed away on Friday, April 24, 2020 at the age of 83. He leaves behind his childhood sweetheart and loving wife of sixty five years, Gloria Baharally (nee Singh) of Calgary,AB.
Ivan, son of the late Lazarus Nathaniel Baharally of Jaclow, Guyana and Anna Daisy Charles of Wakapoa, Guyana, was born in Guyana, South America in the Jacklow, Pomeroon River region, on February 1, 1937. He immigrated to Calgary, AB, in 1970 and was joined by his wife and five children in 1972.
Ivan accomplished much throughout his life and was particularly proud of his large and still growing family. He will be most remembered for his strength and selflessness. Ivan was always helping others. He loved to socialize and made friends everywhere he went.
Besides his loving wife, Ivan is survived by his five children, Donna (Carl) Warner of Calgary, Ivan (Cheryl) Baharally of Calgary, Debbie (Robert) McPherson of Calgary, Norbert (Charlene) Baharally of Stettler and Dawn Baharally (Dori Yee) of Calgary; his nine grandchildren, Christina Gauson of Calgary, Joshua (Heather) Baharally of Calgary, Jennifer (Cameron) Lugg of Calgary, Celina Baharally (Sean Boyden) of Calgary, Rebecca (Isaac) Obodo of Calgary, Matthew McPherson of Calgary, Mikayla (Jermaine) Kootenay of Calgary, Alicia Baharally (Nicholas Crouse) of Stettler, Nicholas Baharally of Calgary; his ten great-grandchildren, Dante Kootenay of Calgary, Claudio Baharally of Calgary, Zachary Lugg of Calgary, Lazarus Baharally of Calgary, Katie Lugg of Calgary, Gabriel Obodo of Calgary, Carter Kootenay of Calgary, Daniel Boyden of Calgary, Theo Kootenay of Calgary and Gloria Obodo of Calgary. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Ivelaw (Hilda) Baddeir of Calgary; sister-in-law Yvonne Baddeir of Calgary; and his brother and sister-in-law Bert (Mona) Rampersaud of Calgary; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
