Obituary of Donna Marie WATT

May 11, 1934 – Arcola, Saskatchewan

April 30, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

Donna, beloved wife of Doug Watt of Calgary, AB, passed away on April 30, 2020 at the age of 85 years.

Born and raised a Saskatchewan farm girl, she always remained proud of her roots. Having a deep appreciation of nature, she loved going for walks and long drives in the country. Flowers and birds gave her a sense of wonder and contentment, planting sweet peas in the spring gave her summers beautiful bouquets that she loved to share. Her favorite pastimes included playing cards, especially bridge and cribbage, and baking sweets, including her “world famous” chocolate chip cookies. She had many jobs over the course of her life, from babysitting neighborhood children to being the owner’s secretary of Woodridge Lincoln Mercury. Devoted to family and friends, she will long be remembered for the many events she lovingly organized, along with the family tree she meticulously assembled and maintained.

Besides her loving husband Doug, Donna is survived by sons, Garry (Linda), Jim, and Jeff (Laura); grandchildren, Heather, Ryley, Macey, and Evie; sisters, Darlene (Willis), Gloria (John) and Maureen (Jim); sister-in-law Shirley, and many nieces and nephews.

Donna is predeceased by her parents Harold and Illa, sister Grace, brother Jack and brother-in-law Harry.
