Condolences
Lori and the boys
We are so sorry for your loss!! You are in our thoughts and prayers at this very sad time.
Al will be greatly missed as such a kind man with this incredible smile. Neil and I so enjoyed his company at the seafood dinner nights! What an awesome person he was! He will be forever remembered!
Love from Neil, Terena and family
I worked with Al for 8.5 years at Safeway - our offices were right across the hall from each other. I always knew if I was having a tough day (or tough month) that I could drop into Al’s office and he would adjust my attitude with a gentle smile and a joke. I am thankful to have known him and want his family to know he made a positive impact in my life. My sincere condolences to his family - he is missed by many.

I was really saddened to hear about Al, I always admired his great patience, always went to him with questions never hesitate to share his knowledge. We always fought about AC temporary at the office, he would rather make it freezing. Will miss you Al...

Al was a great guy and one of the best Assistant Coaches I ever had!
He will be missed.
Lori, Clinton & Alec, we are all heartbroken for your loss. Al will be so greatly missed. We are so glad we got to share so many moments of laughter and hapiness with him. We have known him and your family for over 17 years here in Calgary. He was such a great hockey coach to all the boys including Nick. Grant and I enjoyed so many "parties" with you and Al and he was so fun to be around and so kind. There are millions of moments that Al's life has positively affected the lives of others. It was an honour to have shared some with him.
Grant, Marlene, Vanessa & Nick
Lori, Clinton, & Alec. Our deepest condolences go out to you all. We will always remember Al's infectious smile, twinkle in his eyes, and his quick wit. Al is a great example of how a man, husband, father, son, co-worker, & coach should be. One of the best human beings we have had the pleasure to call our friend. He will be greatly missed. Lori, we are always close by if you need anything at all.
Love Dale & Monika
I had the pleasure to work with Al as he helped us to launch the first FreshCo stores in BC. Being the first, there were always many new circumstances and issues to deal with and time line pressures were always a big part of the job. While many others were challenged by these difficulties, Al always seemed to be in complete control. He gave me great confidence that the job would get done properly and he was always a true gentleman in his dealings. He had a natural ability to make others feel good when he was around.
I'm so sorry that he was taken so soon in life. My sincere condolences to Lori and family.
