Obituary of Lourdes CARDOSO

Lourdes Tigley Cardoso, beloved wife of Roberto Sagalo Cardoso of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at the age of 83 years, due to heart complications.

She was born July 13, 1936 in Samar, Philippines, to Martina and Clemente Tigley Sr.  She married her husband, Roberto Zagalo Cardoso, in April 1981.

Lourdes earned her BScN from Silliman University College of Nursing, Dumaguete City, Philippines.  She worked as a registered nurse in Alberta and British Columbia, and in California.

As a retiree, Lourdes loved to garden, and she continued to stand firm in her Christian faith and love of God.  She enjoyed watching Christian television ministries and reading.  She was passionate about going to church, attending bible studies and fellowships, and travelling.

Her favourite bible verse was Psalm 150, “Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.”

Lourdes is survived and lovingly missed by her younger brothers Franklin Tigley (Rebecca) and Clemente Tigley Jr. (Anastacia), and younger sister Esther Tigley Rivera (Ruben); nephews Dale Montes (Imelda), Billy Montes (Norieta), Edgar Tigley, Allan Tigley (Emilie), William Tigley (Melissa), Rameses Rivera (Analyn), and Ruben Rivera Jr. (Blessie); nieces Tiffany Skillman (Devin) and Wennie Baquir; plus numerous cousins and grand-relatives from all over the world.  All of whom she loved and touched deeply.

Lourdes was predeceased by her husband Roberto, her parents Martina and Clemente, her sisters Elizabeth and Mariam, and her brothers-in-law Aberlardo Montes and Ruben Rivera Sr.

Regulated viewing will be held Thursday, May 7, 2020 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at McInnis & Holloway (Eastside, 5388 Memorial Drive NE, Calgary, AB).

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Eastside, 5388 Memorial Drive NE, Calgary, AB) on Friday, May 8, 2020 at 1:00 pm.  Burial committal to follow at Rocky View Garden of Peace Cemetery.
