Obituary of Elizabeth "Anne" Anne HUNT, (nee Stiles)

July 19, 1947 – Edmonton, Alberta
May 3, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Anne Hunt in Calgary, AB on Sunday, May 3, 2020.

Anne is survived by her children, Scott Hunt (Leslie McDaniel) and Lisa Printz (Jay); brothers, Stephen Stiles  (Irene) and Robert Stiles (Carole); sisters, Susan Edwards and Katherine Carver;  grandchildren, Meagan Moore (Brandon), Shelby Watson (Garrett), Isabelle, Kiara, and Scarlet Printz; great-grandchildren, Annie Watson and Olivia Moore; and many dear friends and relatives.

Anne is also survived by her loving partner of seven years, Bill Shostak, his children, Doug, Lori Sturko (Jerry), and Craig (Krista); and their families. Anne and Bill loved sharing their time together over the years with family and dear friends both in Calgary and Arizona.

Anne was predeceased by her husband of thirty-nine years, Garry Hunt; her parents, Robert and Muriel Stiles; sister Mary-Lou Osmack, and brothers-in-law, Bob Edwards, Robert Carver and Don Osmack.

Anne loved shopping and travelling. She was well-read and always had a good book on hand to read. Gardening was one of her loves and she always had beautiful flowers at the house. She loved good food and hosted many lively dinners with friends and family serving up great meals filled with laughter and cheer.

One of Anne’s great passions was golf. She was a member at Willow Park Golf Course for more than thirty years. Through her love of golf, she formed many lasting friendships. Anne was especially devoted to, and most proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Gramma always had snacks throughout the house, an impossibly full fridge and pantry, and an endless supply of ice-cream treats. She loved indulging her grandkids with Christmas boxes filled to the brim with candy, toys and trinkets she found on her travels.

A celebration of Anne’s life is anticipated at a future date when it is safe for family and friends to get together. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed on Anne’s obituary at www.McInnisandHolloway.com.
