Condolences
I’m so incredibly sad to hear of Barbara’s passing. Both of my daughters had the absolute privilege of attending Olympic Heights while she was there. Over the course of 10 years I watched not only my children, but thousands of children flourish under the vision and direction Barbara provided. She provided an environment that expected only the best, enabling everyone to realize their full potential. What an incredible and inspiring leader she was, she had an incredible amount of strength and the most amazing set of ethics. We will forever be grateful to Barbara.

Dear Brenda, Gordon, Courtney and Chelsea
My very deepest condolences to all of you. I am full of shock, tears and sadness on learning of Barbara’s’ passing. Barbara influenced my life as well as so many other lives throughout her career and personal life. She leaves a legacy of deep love, kindness and dedication to children’s education. I will be forever grateful for having the privilege of working with Barbara at Simon’s Valley School. She was a superb role model and someone that I greatly admired for her love of and champion for children’s education. Barbara was an excellent and inspiring school leader with a very strong work ethic as well as a quick wit and joy for life. I will treasure my many fond memories of working with and knowing Barbara as a colleague and as a friend.
Barbara was very articulate and spoke eloquently on many topics. I recall one of Barbara’s many conversations where she stated, “I hope that people that I have worked with, and the students that I have taught, will be better people as a result of my influence because teaching has made me a better person.”
I am definitely a better person for being a small part of Barbara’ life; she has left a huge ‘heart print’ on my life.
Rest in peace dear Barbara. You will be missed.
My thoughts are with you Brenda and family during this very difficult time.
Much love.
Barbara was a true force of nature, one who had a huge influence on my career and personal life. Rest well, my friend.
Barbara was a huge influence in my career; when she was my director in Area II and then as a principal colleague. Her thoughtful, intelligent responses to what was happening in education and her commitment to children was a model for all who worked with her. I am so saddened by her loss. The world will be a lesser place without Barbara in it. My condolences to you Brenda, and to all your family. Peace be with you.

I can’t think of the world without your smile! You were so kind and compassionate to all. From CGIT as early teens, to shared University classes to loving the same occupation. When ever our paths crossed you had that smile and sincerity. Rest well Barbara. You will be missed.
We are very sad today to hear of Barbara's passing. We knew her briefly and it was a pleasure. She was so outgoing and kind. Her family will miss her so much. Love to all of you.
Barbara you were an amazing principal and friend. I look back on all the great conversations and laughs we had when we worked together at Simons Valley.Your honesty, frankness and kindness is forever appreciated. As you always used to say to me in challenging times, "Onward!"
Your journey continues.
