Condolences
I worked with Doug at District 6 from 1994-1998. Doug was always interesting to talk with and enjoyed his edgy sense of humor. He loved to talk of his daughter who at the time was a rising softball player, he was very proud of her. We lost touch once he retired, but he did come out to our Bison Ranch to pick up a Bison hide he purchased, just after he retired from CPS. Sending condolences to the family.
I was Doug’s partner for a while in CPS and we had a wonderful time for those months. I lost touch with Doug after he left the Police Service, much to my regret. RIP Doug, your memory will live on.
"Now my tapestry's unraveling, he's come to take me back" by Carole King. I met Doug in 1974 when his favorite "LP" was Carole King's Tapestry album, Green Giant creamed corn went with everything and he loved horseback riding. May your last ride bring you peace. My condolences to family and friends.
I was saddened to learn of Doug's passing. We hadn't had contact with each other for many years, but I have great memories from our early days on and off the job. He often had a mischievous grin, a twinkle in his eye, and was usually game for some kind of antic or prank. Those memories of him will not be forgotten. To those he left behind, I send my condolences.

Doug was my half brother. It took a long time before I ever met him. I knew I had a big brother and he knew he had a little brother. When we did finally get to meet, we both cried. He also told me he was keeping an eye on his little brother. He said he wasnt supposed to use the tools he had access to but couldn't resist.
Doug, though our time knowing each other was short, you will always be my big brother and I will always look up to you with respect.
Rest in peace bro
Remembering Doug from his early days when he was stationed in C district. He had an infectious laugh and like so many of us were eager to share stories from the days events over an after shift wobbly pop. His passing brings back great memories.

I worked with Doug for a couple of years in the Traffic Section. We had some good times, not only at work, but also on off duty hours. We both lived in Okotoks at the time and car pooled to work on a regular basis. My condolences to his family and those that were close to him during these last years of his retirement.

I was a friend of Doug for many years. He and I joined the Calgary Police Force back in 1977. Later in life, being his friend was not challenging, just complicated. That's alright though because I loved him like an older brother. He took care of me when we were young, and when we were older I tried my best to take care of him. RIP brother. My heart goes out to Doug's family who I know will be troubled by his passing. Please accept my condolences.
