Condolences
Dearest Scott,
Though we never met in person, for 16 years we were confidants, friends, and pen pals. The first time we spoke was on 2004 (?) when you called the company I worked for at the time. You were looking for guidance with your Parking Sentry. We hit it off immediately and that was that.
You helped me through divorce, the death of my son, and family fights. You cheered me on when I moved across the country to Texas and we always talked about you coming to visit where it’s warm. My heart breaks that it never happened. And I never came north.
Often times, there would be a lag of a month or two sometimes three between our emails, and then we would pick right back up where we left off. Recently, however, I sent you a message and there was no return. I was literally begging you to please write to me. And now I know why there was no response. As I sit here crying and mourning the loss of a friend who moved into my heart though we never met, I can’t help but smile at the memories of shared jokes, political discussions, and sometimes just venting and advice between us.
Please rest easy and have a big one rolled and waiting for me! Much love to you, my friend.
Love,
Marci
Scottie,
So sorry you had to leave us. We will miss your garden, will remember your sense of humour and your great love of cats!!

It is with deep sadness that we say good bye to a good friend. I had the pleasure of residing with Scott the year I went to business school in 2010/11 and had a lot of laughs. He was complaining that he was gaining weight and it was all the vegetables fault. He told me he ate more veggies in that year than in his life time. He had a big impact on my life as well as my boys. We will miss him deeply. RIP Scott.
