Condolences
DearLiz,
I was so saddened to read that Mel had passed away. He was a wonderful man and you made a wonderful couple. Mom and Dad loved all the fun times they had with you two. Thank you for that.
Sincerest condolences to you and your family Liz. Thinking of you today and in the days ahead. Take Care.
Sincerely
Donna & Brian Pillage

RIP Mel I remember you doing all the stats for the Edson Orioles when I played there
So long, Mel. I was a few years ahead of you in school, but I will always remember you and Liz as a couple of wonderful kids who obviously belonged together, and you proved that to be the case. Our paths didn't cross very often after I left Edson, but I have been impressed with your dedication to your family and the community. The last time I saw you was at a high school reunion several years ago, but prior to that I had the pleasure of playing hockey against you at one of the Pacific tournaments in Victoria.
I know you will be sadly missed.
My sincere condolences to Liz and your family. Mel Marshall
RIP my friend, we go back many years to the schools in Edson from the Red Brick (HA Dakin) to the high school and on to the baseball diamond. We enjoyed days that turned into seasons and then years. You were the pitcher and I was your catcher, I thought we were a very good battery. We both left Edson over time but our friendship remained, the last hello and goodbye being the "Red Brick" reunion where by coincidence it all began. May you find the peace you so graciously sought and earned.
My sincere thoughts and condolences to you Liz and the family that brought you both such joy..
My regards, Glen Dirk
Mel, we miss you and take great satisfaction in knowing that you modelled a lifestyle and work ethic that your family is carrying on. We have many memories where we spent time with you and Liz. We especially enjoyed our times together on two cruises (pushing you around in your wheelchair), playing cards and sitting around the campfires at our reunions. I’ll miss your hugs and kisses.
Love from Jack and Judy
Our memories of Mel and Liz are precious times we had in Bucerias together. Mel was a good athlete and competitor and Ray loved their bocci games on the beach. We were all in Bucerias when Mel had his stroke, and have so much admiration for how Mel and Liz both handled the situation. We are so glad that we got to spend time with them in La Cruz last year.
Condolences to all of Mel’s family. He was a great guy. All of us golfers enjoyed his company at Waterton for years. Doug Green
So sorry to hear this, A real gentleman with a great family. I looked forward to seeing him at Waterton each year.

Dear Liz and family.
Marilynn and I are saddened by Mel`s passing.
As you know, Mel and I go back to early school days in Edson, but The Grande Prairie Trek was a highlight of my life and the ties that all of us have with each will last forever. Nothing can take that away.
I am proud to have known Mel for all these years and the picture of the trekkers has a special place in our home.
Please take care and know that you and your family are on our minds and in our hearts.
God bless
Bob and Marilynn
