Rob Moore, of Calgary, AB, beloved husband of Gail Moore, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at the age of 55 years.

He will be dearly missed by his son Jason (Chantal) and their daughter Madison, son Matthew, and daughter Alyssa. Rob will also be dearly missed by his siblings, Steve (Debbie), Carole (Bill), Jeff (Sherry), Mary (Darrel) and Patti (Merv); his father Dave; as well as his very large extended family. Rob was predeceased by his mother Marie.

Rob loved his wife, children and family deeply and was a large presence in their lives. Rob’s passion for sports, the outdoors and pizza often brought his loved ones together for the family time Rob so enjoyed. A bit of a practical joker, Rob loved to laugh and have fun.  He was also strong and protective when he had to be. He was known as a straight shooter…you would never have to wonder where you stood with Rob.

Rob absolutely loved being a dad to Jay, Matt and Alyssa. Additionally one of Rob’s greatest joys in life was being grandpa to his granddaughter Madison. He could not get enough of her and loved watching her achieve each precious milestone.

Rob and Gail were married in Saint Lucia, and ever since, the Caribbean has held a special place in Rob’s heart. He was captivated by their oceans, beaches, tropical rain forests, wildlife and people. Rob would vividly recount to everyone his many favourite stories and memories of this magical place.

Rob’s love of animals was evident throughout his life and he dearly loved his four legged companions. Watching the kids grow up with Rascal the family dog and more recently with Buddy gave Rob so much joy, comfort and happiness.

Rob was unforgettable, irreplaceable, and his love touched each of our lives in immeasurable ways. Losing Rob leaves a huge void in our family and we are heartbroken. We are grateful for the time we had with Rob and the many amazing memories that we now carry with us. We love you Rob, you will be dearly missed, never forgotten and forever in our hearts until we meet again.
