Obituary of Margaret C. (nee Lewis) HENRY
December 3, 1932 – St. Thomas, Ontario
May 14, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Margaret Henry on Thursday, May 14, 2020, after a two year battle against Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma.
Margaret is survived by her loving husband and partner of sixty-two years, Stanley L. Henry. She is predeceased by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. F.O. Lewis of St. Thomas, ON, and her sister, Dr. Carolyn Graham of London, ON.
Margaret was known for her joyful laughter while talking to her friends at the golf courses and on the ski bus. She was a great homemaker for Stan as they moved with Shell from Montreal, to Toronto, to overseas, and finally Calgary where they settled and retired in 1987.
At Margaret’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service, but as occasions arise, a toast to good times (and there were many), would be in order.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada, Unit 210, 1212 – 31 Avenue NE, Calgary, AB T2E 7S8 Telephone: (403) 263-5300 or (toll-free): 1 (866) 547 – LIFE (5433), www.lls.org/canada, or to The Calgary Humane Society, 4455 – 110th Avenue S.E., Calgary, AB T2C 2T7, Telephone: (403)205-4455, www.calgaryhumane.ca.
