Obituary of Teresa (Terrie) Anne HUDON

June 16, 1962- June 2, 2020

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Teresa (Terrie) Anne Hudon.

She is survived by her proudest accomplishments and the lights of her life, her children Tessa Rose and Sean Joseph Bryant. Terrie was predeceased by the love of her life, her husband Andy, in 2009.
Born and raised in Calgary, Terrie was third of six children. She enjoyed the outdoors, becoming a competitive rower, and enjoyed cycling, skiing, and hiking with a wide circle of friends. Terrie met Andy on a blind date. They married in 1997, and with the arrival of Tessa and Sean, new adventures began. She dubbed them the Core Four!

Prior to marriage Terrie acquired a business diploma from MRU and went to work in the travel industry for 100% commission, acquiring invaluable skills. It was suggested it was making her too bold. The job allowed lots of travel and an eventual shift back to school to take her lifetime passion of photography. Terrie graduated with a degree in photography from ACAD.

Terrie was a wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend of fierce loyalty, always ready to take anything on, which was evident in her desire to give back. She was a member of PFAC (Patient and Family Advisory Council), a place to provide a passionate voice for patient and family care in our health system and the new Cancer building. She was also a long-standing volunteer at the Calgary Stampede, helping out on the photo gallery committee.

Besides her children, Tessa and Sean, Terrie is survived by her parents, Larry and Shelagh Hudon; siblings, Tom, Sue (Andrew, James, Meaghan), Dan, Joe, Patti (Mark) (Samuel, Caleigh. Raeghan), extended clans of Hudons, O’Connors and Bryants and of course her cherished and treasured friends.

In lieu of flowers a trust has been set up for Tessa and Sean at the Royal Bank, please reach out to Terrie’s family for information on how to do so, or if you so desire donate to a rider doing the Ride to Conquer Cancer next spring, https://ride.conquercancer.ca/alberta20/, Terrie raised thousands of dollars for this organization and rode four times.

A private family service will be held, with a public memorial event scheduled for a later date. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed on Terrie’s obituary at www.McInnisandHolloway.com.

In living memory of Terrie Hudon, a tree will be planted in the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area by McInnis and Holloway Funeral Homes, Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive S.W., Calgary, AB T2S 2L5, Telephone: 403-243-8200.
