It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, nephew, grandson and friend Austin Jeremy BigCrow on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at the age of 31 years.

Austin is survived by his father Curtis BigPlume Sr (Lisa); siblings, Latesha, Marissa (Dennis), Karice, Triston, Treyton, Talia (Will), Curtis Jr, Marcell; step-siblings, Chelsea, Kirsty, Cory, Dominic; Grandma Nancy BigCrow; Grandpa Roy Bearchief; Great-Grandpa Russell BigCrow; Aunties Wanda S, Shauna BC, Raylene BC, Karleen BP, Tia BP, Karen BP, Jill Bearchief; Uncles Dean S, Terry S, Dallas BP, Jarvis BC; god parents, Doreen & Watson Kaquitts; his nieces and nephews that he sure loved and cared a lot; and numerous family and friends. 

Austin was a caring young man who always had a smile and a laugh that everyone loved. He had so many friends by his side. Austin graduated in 2010 from Bullhead Adult Education Centre. Then went to SAIT for Hospitality Management Program and graduated in November 2014 and worked at the Grey Eagle Hotel. 

Austin made his Cursillo in 2013 in Tsuut’ina and his theme was “I can feel the spirit moving”. Austin played pool and his team was called “Chalk’s Free.” He travelled to Las Vegas to compete in 2014. Austin took his team “Skoden” to the playoffs and he made the winning shot and won 1st place in Calgary in April 2017, he was the #1 player.

Austin was predeceased by his Mom Cori Lynn BigCrow, Grandma May BC, Grandma Arlene J, Grandpa Carl BP, Sherry BP, Loretta BC, Trevor “Beans” BC, Ian BC, Blaine BC, Buffy K, Eli BC, Theo S, Tiffany BC, Daylin M.

Family would like to thank the Tsuut’ina Health Centre, Home Care and Rockyview Hospital for their help throughout the week. The Family apologizes if they missed anyone.

Wake Services will be held at the Residence of Dallas BigPlume (Tsuut’ina Nation, AB) on Sunday, June 7, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. and Monday, June 8, 2020. 

Funeral Services will be celebrated at the Residence of Dallas BigPlume on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. Social distancing protocols and masks are mandatory.
