Condolences
Dear Andrea and family, we were so sorry to hear that Mary had passed away. We send our love and condolences. We grew up with Mary, George and Norman. We will always remember not only the good times but the sad times our families went through together.
Mary always had a big bright smile and a twinkle in her eyes. She will truly be missed.
Love, Baba Lena, Christina, Jeannie and Craig, Daniel and family.oxox
I met Mary when I worked at Central Field Command, working with up and coming future Chiefs. She taught me her E.A. responsibilities so I could fill in for her while she was away. We shared many laughs and tears. She loved to glue a loonie to the floor, just as you got off the elevator on the 3rd floor, and watch everyone try to pick it up, while hiding behind her computer. She was a good friend. I'm glad she moved out West to be with her Andrea.
Rest peacefully Mary, your job here is done.
Mary and I met when we were both at a crossroads in our lives. We both were struggling, new single mothers and sitting opposite each other in a group therapy session about how to help our kids and ourselves move forward in our new lives. We hit it off instantly and soon became best friends.
Mary was always up for a drive anywhere, with a large coffee, a big smile and a funny story to tell. Early mornings were her style and destinations unlimited. We had crazy fun chasing Beanie babyies around Toronto and selling them over the border and on EBay when we were broke. Mary’s generosity was enormous, always giving and never asking for anything for herself. I was often the recipient of a lunch, a movie, and yes, even a couple of holidays. Her humour and kindness pulled this poor single mom out of many a dark day. We laughed and cried over stories of boyfriends, sometimes until the wee hours of the morning. Her Tony and my Ted. The stories were endless. I loved her like the sister I never had and when she had her stroke, a huge part of me died in that hospital. My life would be forever changed. Mary will remain in my heart as the dearest friend I ever had. Rest in peace, my friend. You will always be my laughter and a big part of my best memories.
My sincere condolences to Mary’s family.
I worked with Mary many years ago when we were in the Chief’s Office and happily our paths continued to cross as we moved throughout the organization. Mary was a bright, positive, energetic woman and a wonderful colleague. I have fond memories of our many conversations about family and remember her face lighting up when she spoke about her adored daughter Andrea.
May Mary Rest In Peace.
