Obituary of Matthew KORHONEN

Matthew Korhonen, beloved son, grand-son, brother, husband, father, uncle and friend, passed away on Monday, May, 11, 2020 just after his 40^th birthday.

Matt was a proud, hard working father who loved his family with his whole heart. A friend and companion to so many, Matt had a way of making everyone he met feel welcomed and appreciated. As a passionate animal advocate, he focused his energy into his work at Little Ray’s Nature Centre in Ottawa, ON and the Calgary Zoo. As a final act of selflessness, Matt was a successful organ donor and gifted someone a new lease on life. We couldn’t be more proud of Matt for this and all of his accomplishments in life. Though you’re not here with us in person, you’ll be in our hearts on this adventure for the rest of our lives.
