Lastly he obtained his class 2 drivers licence and became a school bus driver for Nakoda Bus Lines.
In his younger years, his passion was in the bull riding and attended bull riding school and participated in rodeos. He was also an avid goaltender for local teams, he also loved to golf and hunt. He was a bass player and was involved in two bands. Barry firmly believed and practiced in traditional ceremonies as a Smudge Man, Sun Dancer, and participated in healing ceremonies. He helped construct sweat lodges and was a fire keeper. His undivided passion was always towards hospitality, a man of very few words but he was a loving, quiet, humble, and compassionate man with a heart of gold. Barry was also a very strong and resilient individual. He was always concerned about family.
