Obituary of Katherine (Kay) KOMARNICKI

September 16, 1918 – Dana, Saskatchewan
June 9, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

Kay Komarnicki, of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at the age of 101 years at her residence, the Father Lacombe Care Center.

She had been a long-time resident of Sylvan Lake, AB. 

Kay is survived by her two daughters, Rosanne and Bonnie; eight grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Nick in 1991 and son Bill in 2011.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 from 7:00 to 7:30 p.m. with Prayers and Tributes to follow at 7:30 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church (1414 Shawnessy Boulevard S.W., Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with a reception to follow at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB). A graveside service will be held on June 17, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at the Lakeview Cemetery (4302 50 Street Sylvan Lake, AB).
