Marion ANDROSOFF (nee Negrave)

Obituary of Marion ANDROSOFF (nee Negrave)

October 24, 1937 – Rosebud, Alberta
June 10, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

Marion Androsoff of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 10, 2020, at the age of 82 years.

She was born in Rosebud Alberta on October 24, 1937. The family also lived in Vancouver and then made the move to Queenstown, AB, where she met her husband Larry.

Marion loved to cook, bake, and entertain. Her hearty laugh, big heart, and front door was always open for anybody who came over. She and Larry also loved to travel, and they went on many adventures, especially with her sister / best friend Barb and her husband Al. Trips to the casino were also enjoyed on occasion and her family would tease her about those “trips to the spa”.

Marion’s family has beautiful memories of a Baba/Mom who was always there for them.  There would always be a meal, and your favourite dessert with coffee ready and a bed if needed with so much love and no judgement. Somehow, she always knew what you needed at that time, even if you didn’t.  Baba/Mom had been struggling with health issues for a few years but rebounded in 2019 and ensured that she made her family’s favourite cream puffs, for all of us to enjoy with some great laughs. She also passed on some of her cooking skills to Larry, and he has almost perfected Baba’s soup.

Marion is survived by her loving husband of sixty-four years, Larry, children, Karen (Ron) Logan and Sandra Androsoff (Fisher); grandchildren, Chris (Colleen), Matt (Katie), Kevin (Angela), Melissa (Ashley), and Tim; seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. She is also survived by her brothers Peter, Larry (Helen), and sister Barb.

Marion was predeceased by her son Terry, and her parents, Mabel and Peter.

Rest-in-peace Mom; you are now in heaven with Terry, and your Mom and Dad.

A Celebration of Marion’s Life will be held at a later date. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed on Marion’s obituary at www.McInnisandHolloway.com.
