Condolences
Mrs. Parel was my English teacher when I was a student at St. Mary's High School in the 1980's. Her love of literature was compelling and inspiring, as was her fearlessness in challenging students to think about big ideas ("What is the good life?"). Mrs. Parel's tough but instructive writing lessons are the foundation of my education and career since high school. I will always remember her and I am forever grateful for having the opportunity to learn from her. Sincere condolences to her family.

My condolences to Rolande's family. I had the pleasure of working with Rolande as an English teacher at St. Mary's in the mid-seventies. Rolande was a thoroughly competent, energetic and affable colleague. I benefited from her impressive expertise in her several roles in Calgary Catholic Schools. I will miss her. Graham Foster
We were very sorry to hear of Rolande’s passing. We will remember her in particular as a warm and gracious hostess, and a person who was remarkable for her intelligence, her breadth of experience, and her compassion.. We send our heartfelt condolences to Anthony, Tara, Kamala, and the extended family.

Dear Anthony and Family
We recall and had such a nice time with Anthony & Rolande at a cultural event they both were so passionate about in the past
An intellectual power house is an understatement for this couple. We would like to express our deepest condolences to Anthony and family.
God bless you all during this difficult and sad time.
