Obituary of Shelbey Marie AUGER

October 29, 2000 – June 16, 2020

Shelbey Auger was born in Calgary, Alberta October 29, 2000, and passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 16, 2020, at the young age of 19.

Shelbey graduated from Western High School with the class of 2018. Following graduation, Shelbey took time to really reconnect with family and friends. After struggling for years with life and direction, she finally found a passion that would have allowed her to do the one thing that came naturally to her and that was helping people. She just completed her upgrading and was planning on attending Bow Valley College in the winter of 2020/21.

Shelbey liked sayings that spoke to her. In a time where she had found some strength, she was able to express herself through a painting she got to do. And her favourite hope-inspiring message that she took great pride in painting was “I never asked for an easy life, just the strength to make it through this one”.

For people who knew Shelbey, they will remember her smile and laughter the most. The impact she had on people will always be imprinted in their hearts. That mischievous sparkle in her eyes always brought a smile to people’s faces.

Shelbey is survived by her parents, Trent (Joanne Bryk) and Jocelyn (Mark Wilson) Auger; her beloved siblings, Isabelle and Hunter Wilson, Tommy and Timothy Auger; her grandmas, Twyla Auger and Linda Koch; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. She is predeceased by her grandpa Donald Auger.

A Celebration of life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North, Calgary, AB), on Friday, June 26, 2020, at 10:00 a.m.   If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Hull Services, 2266 Woodpark Ave S.W., Calgary, AB T2W 2Z8, www.hullservices.ca, or to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Calgary, 938 15 Ave S.W., Calgary, AB  T2R 0S3, www.boysandgirlsclubsofcalgary.ca.  Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed on Shelbey’s obituary at www.McInnisandHolloway.com.
