Obituary of Wayne Hung Wai LO
November 21, 1935 – June 17, 2020
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Wayne Lo in Calgary, AB on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at the age of 84 years.
Wayne will be remembered with love by his wife Jennie Sze, his daughters, Deborah (Malcolm) and Lynette; and his three granddaughters, Emmeline, Sabrina, and Arabella. He was predeceased by his first wife Judy (Wong) Lo.
Wayne was born in Guangzhou, China and lived a courageous life, going through difficult times during the war. He studied architecture at The University of Sydney, Australia, and landscape architecture at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. Wayne emigrated from Hong Kong to Calgary, AB with his young family in 1967 and worked as a City Planner for the City of Calgary. He also volunteered with the Calgary Chinese Public School, the Calgary Winter Olympics, and the Canadian Cancer Society.
