Obituary of Raquel May LAMROCK

Raquel Lamrock of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at the age of 17 years.

Raquel was born in Calgary, AB, on August 13, 2002.  This would have been her final year at Western Canada High School.

Raquel volunteered with the Calgary Humane Society and every Christmas, helped package shoe boxes at Samaritan’s Purse.  She was always willing to try new things and took guitar and voice lessons. Raquel loved Ballroom Dancing at Arthur Murray and participated in competitions with her dance instructors Trista, Ian, Alana and Heather. She also enjoyed Shooting Sporting Clays with her father and Kelly at Silver Willow Sporting Club.  She also loved to travel and recently spent time in Italy and France.

Raquel will be most remembered for her kindness and love towards animals and children. She loved nature, walks and playgrounds, particularly swings. Raquel was an avid fan of games, especially card and board games

Raquel is survived by her loving parents, Andrea Bruce and James Lamrock; and siblings, Cassandra (16), Malcolm (10), and Aria (9). Also, she will be missed by her stepmother Kelly Lamrock, stepfather Robert Bruce, Trevor Thomson; and stepbrothers Nicholas and Michael; as well as numerous grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Friday, July 03, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home.
