RIP Leo. Enjoyed our acquaintance at Esso. My condolence to your family.
Leo and I were classmates twice. We graduated together from La Salle College in Hong Kong in 1966, then we graduated together again from McGill in chemical engineering in 1972. Though we lost contact with each other after graduating from McGill, we bumped into each other again in the late 1970s after I moved from Montreal to Toronto, when he was working for Esso on St. Clair Ave. and I was working for an engineering firm. Leo and I met up several times for dinner when we were both on business in Sarnia. Another McGill classmate, Guy Macarios, also joined us at one of those dinners. We lost touch again after Leo and his family moved to Calgary. But we finally met again, this time in Edmonton, at our La Salle class reunion in 2006. Then we met again in Montreal the following year at our McGill chemical engineering class reunion. Though we were never very close, we certainly had a very long relationship that lasted almost 60 years.
Leo, sorry to see you go. I am sure we shall meet again. Rest in peace in the glory of our Lord.
