Gestures
My memories of Janet go back to when I was a little girl.
The first- and I believe it was when Eau Claire Market in Calgary first opened- I was only 6 or 7 years old and we went shopping with Cody. I saw the most beautiful broach in one of the stores- something I never dreamed of having- but Janet surprised me with later that day. I was so surprised and excited!! She made this little gals day for sure!!
Another thing I remember quite fondly- and this is kind of silly- was when we would visit for dinner. Janet and Gail always had the most delicious stash of pop that we got chose from for dinner. And as kids- that was everything!!! I would always choose Hawaiian punch. Yum!! To this day that taste remind always reminds me of her house and those moments!
Another memory of Janet I have is that she always had the most beautiful home and collected the nicest things. It was always so neat to visit her house and see her beautiful decor.
But this final memory, well more of a legacy, is something that to this day, I thank and acknowledge Janet for every year at the holidays....her MASHED POTATOES!!! The Antonuk mashed potatoes are truly a piece of heaven and a piece of Janet that will live for generations and generations to come!! The absolute best!
I am also very thankful to her for the amazing daughter she had who is the greatest of step moms! Our lives are so much richer and fuller because of her.
May she rest and piece and know that she touched many hearts during her life. "Always loved. Never forgotten"
All my love and condolences to Gail, Cody, Dad, family and loved ones.
We love you. Landi, Sam, Harlan, Nolen and Conley
