Obituary of Helen SZYNKARCHUK (nee Moroz)

July 4, 1925 – Fraserwood, Manitoba
June 30, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

Helen Szynkarchuk of Calgary, AB, was called home to our Lord on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at the age of 94 years.

Born July 4, 1925 in Fraserwood, MB, to Alex and Barbara Moroz, Helen was a caring and strong-willed individual who touched the lives of all who knew her.  

Helen was a wonderful homemaker, cook, baker, and enjoyed all types of crafts. She took great pride in her skills and loved to share with her family as they eagerly awaited her next meal or creation. 

She married Mike Szynkarchuk in 1945 and they were happily married for sixty-three years until Mike passed in 2008. She was predeceased by her brothers Michael and William Moroz. 

Helen and Mike lovingly raised two daughters, Joan Price, and Janice (Blair) Roth. She is also survived by grandson Nathan (Taryn) Roth, and great-grandson Graeme Roth. Helen also leaves to mourn her passing, brother Robert (Marge) Moroz, sister Diana Moroz, and numerous loved nieces and nephews. 

A Private Family Funeral Mass and interment will be held in Calgary.
